See How It Works
This is one lesson from the Indoor Seed Starting class – taught by Rick Stone, who has been starting seeds indoors for over 20 years. Watch the lesson, then see the workbook unit that goes with it.
Indoor Seed Starting | Unit 3: Planting
Rick walks through the complete planting process from start to finish – prepping the soil, planting five different varieties, covering and labeling, and setting up for germination. By the end of this lesson, your student knows exactly what to do and why. After the video, your student takes a short, low-stakes quiz to make sure they watched the video.
Every lesson comes with a workbook unit. This is where students apply what they learned, and reflect on the life skills the work is building in them. The workbook walks them through step-by-step and by the end of the unit, they have seeds started the right way.
